Food Pantry
We offer a Food Pantry for residents in the community who are experiencing food shortages. The Soldotna Food Pantry is open every Wednesday from 11 am - 2 pm. To support these efforts, the church is accepting non-perishable food donations, which may be dropped off at the church any Tuesday from 10 am -2 pm, Wednesday from 10 am -6 pm or Sunday from 9 am - 12 pm.
To make monetary donations, go to our Support Our Ministries page, mail a check to the address above designating it for the Soldotna Food Pantry or drop it by the church. Want to volunteer? Contact Cosette at 262-7610. Please feel free to drop by any Wednesday to see the operation in action and view our beautiful community garden.
Community Garden
We have a new team for our 2023 year! They will be making sure we have fresh veggies for our Pantry families this summer and fall which is always a delight to those receiving them! People in the greater Soldotna area who are interested in having a garden plot of their own are invited to contact us. With a master gardener available to coach you in planning and growing your own produce and the promise of good stewardship of the garden for you and others who are gardening here you too could enjoy some fresh veggies on your table. Contact the church office 262-4657.
Wednesday Night Dinner
We have returned to having Wednesday Night Dinner in person at 5:30p.m. every week. The same good food with fellowship! Just show up as in the past by 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday night. The joy in fellowship and sharing a meal in community is palpable and our circle only continues to grow! Come join us!
Monday Coffee Group
Come join us at Kaladi's on Monday at 10 for connections and conversation. 315 S Kobuk St. in Soldotna.
Kenai Peninsula Food Bank

Kenai Alternative High School
The Soldotna United Methodist Church serves breakfast two mornings each week. Mondays we serve breakfast burritos with scrambled eggs and ham and fried potatoes with salsa and hot sauce on the side. Wednesdays we serve biscuits and sausage gravy and you won’t find a better breakfast this side of the lower forty-eight. Juice is also served at the meals. The volunteers from SUMC are there from 6:30am-8:30am. The Kenai Lions Club is one of our financial supporters for this project.
